help with Lingering Will

I'm at a loss on how to beat Lingering Will, even using ultima as my secondary keyblade from a limit form doesn't make much difference, I wanna beat him with Bond Of Flame so badly but nothing I try even works, nothing, absolutely nothing, I don't wanna cheese it unless it involves Bond Of Flame, been at this for a year, been learning the timing but he keeps softlocking me, I have maxed out all item slots on everyone with mega elixirs and I'm on final mix mode/normal mode which works differently from critical mode I hear
