My spell worked then stopped?

I feel my spell worked from the moment i did it up until last week so a good 9 months. Soon as i did it my ex was calling me and for a good month i waited about a month and a half to reach back to him and then we've been in a committed relationship way more good days then bad i was really happy again. Well last week he broke up with me for the same reason that made me do the spell in the first place (wanting to aka focus on himself and get his life more together and i distract him) we won't get into all the details but what do i do? Dispose of the old spell jar? Leave the old spell jar and cast a new spell? Re cast the same spell? Please help
