Why does BBC subs have less followers than the news channel BBC?

so I've been seeing a BBC clip and I'm like this is "outrageous" let's see what the BBC community thinks of this and the BBC news channel subreddit has like 30k followers? But what shocked me more is that NSFW "BBC" subs have more than 10x the followers. And I'm wondering wtf happened
