What movie traumatized you as a kid, but rewatching it is just mediocre?

My mom says she saw The Texas Chainsaw Massacre as a 9 year old (didn’t even finish it) and she’s traumatized by it. I know if she rewatched it as an adult, it wouldn’t be a big deal. I know that one scene in Signs scared me to death, but as an adult.. it’s still traumatizing. Lol

My dad swears Jacob’s Ladder is his one true horror movie. That he won’t watch it again because he doesn’t want to lose the “awe” of it.
