Can we do a "what I eat in a day"?
Just trying to gauge what other people's "go to's" are and I know we'll all be on different calorie deficits.
I eat between a 1000 and 1400 calories and that's working for me because on some days I can eat more, which adds a little "float" to my week.
I don't eat before 11 and try not to eat after 8 (but sometimes a sweet treat calls)
I still do fancy a sweet treat but a 100 cal snack more than solves it. I was buying protein puddings but they are quite expensive and I got a bit bored.
I have an expresso Latte to start my day as my "journal and get up" routine post gym.
I live alone and wfh so my routine has the travel time I don't have to worry about in. I get up at 4.45 and go to the gym, I work 7 til 5 four days a week (compressed hours) so the half hour in the morning and the two hours after work are when I get most chores done. I live on a smallholding with animals so there are chores!
YESTERDAY'S DIET
I was quite pleased with this! Shorter on my 5 a day than usual but
BREAKFAST Didn't have breakfast at 11 because I wasn't hungry
LUNCH I had homemade "everything" soup at 12 with a slice of toast with a quarter of an avocado on it and some cream cheese. I bought some freezer portion trays from TEMU and these are a lifesaver. I have loads of individual portions of chilli, curry, rice, soup etc which I just get out as I need it.
Snack at 5pm was a 54 cal choccie biscuit.
DINNER Venison Steak (I swap a lamb for a deer every year with a friend), air fried chips, 1/4 avocado, half a bell pepper and a bit of cream cheese. This was lush.
I had a whiskey at about 8.
Can you give me your "what I eat in a day?". I'm not looking for tips on my diet, just what YOUR go to's are. Because I live on a smallholding I eat food that's grown here mainly and I also have a massive pantry that I'm trying to eat down so for the next 6 months at least I anticipate minimal shopping for food. I have 200 jars of preserved veg for example and a deer and lamb in the freezer. I have fresh eggs daily and I get my milk from a neighbouring farm. I just want to see what others are doing
