Is there any country in the world experiencing large amounts of hope and optimism in the under 40 demographic?
Every single person on the internet is insisting on doomerism, and it seems nihilistic. Even people who aren't doomers like myself are still brought into a mindset of believing in a decaying future because we are subject to it at all times.
I am not asking whether doomerism is justified, nor am I looking for advice on how to avoid feelings of doomerism. But I am just curious if there is any place in the world that doesn't have a pervading sense of things getting worse for a greater number of people, or if this has just sort of been the reality of a post-covid world?
Are there any third-world countries experiencing unprecedented economic booms, any newfound political revolutions bringing about hope to previously oppressed people? I haven't heard anything about the new Syria regime since the first week of it happening when everyone said "We are cautiously waiting for what this new "terrorist" regime will do".
