Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria caused by H. Pylori???
I’ve dealt with CIU for 15 years (mostly delayed dermatographism that can last up to 48 hours). I’ve been able to manage over the last year and a half with Xolair and Allegra, but still always have them. Recently they’ve become worse and itchy again. After doing some digging because I’m so over it, I saw that H. Pylori can be associated with CIU. I’ve also suffered from GERD and GI issues for years. I did a GI map a couple years ago with a functional practitioner and H. pylori came back high. The practitioner didn’t treat for the H. pylori. However, now I’m wondering if this may be causing the CIU. Thoughts????
